Navigating Your Administrator Panel

2.b) Admin. Panel Navigation
The Left Side Navigation Menu
Once logged in to the Administrator Panel you are presented with a navigation menu (fig. 2.b) that will provide access to various areas of your store database.

Some of the menu options contain sub pages. these can be accessed by either clicking the 'Expand' link to show all sub pages, or you can click the + symbol to the left of navigation links to only show that section's sub pages.

When you expand sub pages you may hide them again by clicking either the 'Collapse' link to hide all sub pages, or you can click the - symbol to the left of navigation links to only hide that section's sub pages.

You may view your live e-store at any time by clicking the 'View Store' link. Your e-store will open in a new window or tab (depending on your browser and settings). Note that some newer browsers may block pop-up windows or tabs. To temporarily bypass your pop-up blocking settings hold down the 'Ctrl' and 'Alt' keys on your keyboard while clicking the 'View Store' link.

If you have the Instant Gift Certificate application installed on your e-store you will see a G.C. Manager option in addition to the 'Order Manager'. The G.C. Manager does not have any sub pages.

When you log in to you Administration Panel the system will default to the Order manager screen to enable you to see new orders immediately. Expanding the Order Manager navigation will provide sub pages that filter the Order list by status. To quickly return to the 'Show All Orders' list you can click on the main 'Order Manager' link.

You will notice that, unlike the main Order Manager link, which will display a page showing 'All Orders' when clicked, clicking the main Customer Manager, Shipping or Store Statistics links does not take you to a new page, but rather expands the subpages under that link.

2.c) Top-right Navigation Links
Other Navigation Links
In the top-right section of the screen is a 'Quickbar' check box (fig. 2.c). Although clicking this box will display some additional options across the top of the screen, these options are currently disabled and are due to be activated in future updates. Clicking the options will not harm anything on your store, they will just display a "You are not authorized to access this page" message.

In the far top-right of the screen you will see the 'Logoff' link. Use this link to sign out of the Administration Panel when you are finished in order to protect your store data from anauthorized users of your computer.
